Advisory for GST Registration Process

1. Applicants Not Opting for Aadhaar Authentication

  • Visit GST Suvidha Kendra (GSK): If you choose not to authenticate via Aadhaar, you must go to a designated GSK for photo capturing and document verification.
  • Appointment Scheduling: After selecting “NO” for Aadhaar authentication, you will receive an email with GSK details and a link to schedule an appointment.
  • Documentation: Bring the required documents at the scheduled time for verification.

2. Applicants Opting for Aadhaar Authentication

  • Biometric Authentication Required: Promoters/Partners must visit the GSK for biometric authentication and photo capturing, along with the Primary Authorized Signatory (PAS).
  • Previous Verification Exemption: If a Promoter/Partner has been previously verified in any State/UT, they do not need to repeat the process unless they become the PAS for a new entity. In such cases, only document verification is needed.
  • Same Individual as PAS: If the Promoter/Partner is also the PAS, they must complete photo capturing, biometric authentication, and document verification. If already verified, only document verification is necessary.

3. Non-Generation of Application Reference Number (ARN)

  • 15-Day Completion Requirement: For Aadhaar-authenticated applicants, failure to complete biometric authentication or document verification within 15 days of submitting Part B of REG-01 will result in no ARN being generated. Ensure your Aadhaar details are accurate to avoid failures.
  • Non-Aadhaar Applicants: Similar rules apply; if photo capturing or document verification is not completed within 15 days, ARN will not be generated.
